Why do I create art?
My Background
I sold my first painting in high school, but it didn’t occur to me to pursue a career in art until 5 years ago. Creating paintings and portraits became a kind of cathartic practice, and my friends liked the drawings I did of their children. Hotel Covington liked my paintings of the Roebling Bridge linking Covington, KY to Cincinnati, OH, and provided a space to sell cityscapes and various paintings of the Roebling Bridge along with Prints and notecards of my work.
Mediums
I use many different mediums; mainly charcoal, oil paints, and Pastel.
My Inspiration
I enjoy taking pictures of people, places, or things and like to reference these in my photo library. I also work off of other people’s photos.
